The Association is the peak food service industry body in WA and ensures the best interests of its membership are served throughout our state through the provision of a number of member services and initiatives. Essentially the mission of the association is to forward the interests of all food service industry employers and members, in particular within W.A., and to do so in a manner that best promotes the viability and profitability of food service businesses. This mission is pursued through: Industry Representation - Represent member businesses to governments, employee unions, tourism bodies, and other relevant stakeholders that have influence or the ability to affect the business operating environment. Human Resources - Provide information, assistance and advice to members on employee relations, including terms and conditions of employment, wage rates, employee recruitment, counseling and termination. Marketing - Provide opportunities for members to promote their businesses effectively to the consumer, including providing a platform for recognising business excellence and creating avenues for broader regional marketing. Membership benefits - The creation, growth and maintenance of products, benefits and services that provide a tangible financial advantage to member businesses utilising the group purchasing power of the combined membership. Knowledge, information and training - The delivery of up to date information on industry product knowledge, business management issues and trends, together with the provision of a range of training courses and/or seminars relevant to the needs of business. Industry standards and accreditation - Addressing the need for minimum business standards to be regulated equally and the separate development of best practice standards for the benefit of members. Organisational Resources - The management, application and growth of the associations™ resources to provide the best return for members and continually increase the ability of each association to expand the services it provides members and the broader industry.
