*2010 RCA Savour Awards for Excellence Gala Ball - the RCA's annual black tie event was held on Monday 21 June 2010 at the Burswood Entertainment Complex .The Grand Ballroom was a buzz with a record of over 1100 guests to celebrate the announcement of the highest achievers in the hospitality industry. This year saw an increase in the category field which resulted again in an unprecedented number of nominations.

Over the last 16 years, these awards have provided a crucial opportunity for the hospitality industry to strive for excellence and to continue to identify ways to improve members businesses resulting in higher quality dining experiences for customers.

*Renzo Deleo, Owner & Manager of Mille Cafe, Inglewood, and long standing RCA committee member, was awarded as the 2010 Alinta RCA Hall of Fame winner at the 2010 RCA Savour Awards for Excellence Gala Ball. A formal induction will take place at a dinner to be held later in the year.

 

*2010 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence - Winners of eligible state categories will progress forward as nominees in this national competition. This year the gala Ball will be held in Melbourne Monday October 25.

Last year, five Western Australian businesses won national awards;

Aquarium Seafood Chinese Restaurant, Ascot, awarded the Best Chinese Restaurant

Friends Restaurant, East Perth, took home the Best Entertainment award

Nahm Thai, Perth, won the Best Thai Restaurant award

Matilda Bay, Crawley, took home the Best Tourism Award

Casellas Wine Tapas Grill, Bunbury, was announced best Themed Restaurant
